Systems Administrator

Working alongside Software Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Data Engineers, the Systems Administrator will help deliver secure, scalable infrastructure that enables mission-critical software to operate efficiently and reliably. The ideal candidate brings strong systems design experience, database administration expertise, and a proactive approach to improving infrastructure performance, security, and scalability., Database & Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy, configure, manage, and secure AWS resources, including EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, CloudWatch, and VPC. Support database sizing, administration, performance optimization, and server security. DevOps & CI/CD: Build, maintain, and troubleshoot continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins. Containerization & Kubernetes: Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments to support reliable application development and deployment. Systems Administration & Security: Perform routine maintenance, vulnerability scanning, patch management, and system troubleshooting across physical and cloud infrastructure. Manage VPNs and maintain current SSL/TLS certificates. Systems Architecture & Scalability: Design and implement secure infrastructure enhancements to support new capabilities, resolve technical issues, and improve system performance, availability, and scalability. Infrastructure Optimization: Maintain and improve software and infrastructure architecture by applying operational best practices, identifying opportunities for automation, and proactively addressing performance and reliability concerns. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software development, DevOps, and data engineering teams to maintain stable environments, support deployments, and ensure infrastructure meets evolving technical and operational requirements. , Desired Skills

SQL Databases: 7+ years of experience working with SQL databases, including database administration, sizing, and performance optimization. Operating Systems: 4+ years of experience administering Linux or Windows environments. Elasticsearch: 2+ years of experience working with Elasticsearch environments. Kubernetes: 2+ years of experience deploying, administering, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters. Cloud Infrastructure: Experience provisioning, securing, and maintaining AWS services and cloud-based infrastructure. DevOps & CI/CD: Experience supporting automated build and deployment pipelines using GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins. Systems Design: Demonstrated experience designing, maintaining, and improving secure, scalable systems infrastructure. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary technical teams.
