AI Backend Engineer

Responsibilities * Design, develop, and deploy AI agents using AWS-native technologies * Build and maintain backend services and agent orchestration layers in Python * Utilize Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore to develop scalable GenAI applications * Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into enterprise platforms * Contribute to architecture discussions, proof of concepts, and production implementations * Drive continuous improvement and innovation across AI initiatives * Stay current with emerging AI technologies and industry best practices What We’re Looking For * Demonstrated ability to build solutions from the ground up in a fast-paced environment * Strong problem-solving and engineering mindset * Self-starter with a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow * Passion for AI, automation, and emerging technologies * Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders * Strong communication and collaboration skills

Must Have * Hands-on Generative AI development experience, particularly building AI agents. * Strong software engineering background with experience across the software development lifecycle. * Experience developing cloud-native applications. * Strong Python skills (identified as the primary programming language). * Experience integrating APIs, tools, and agent-based solutions. * Ability to work in an enterprise-scale environment. Preferred * AWS experience, especially: o Bedrock o AgentCore o Related GenAI services * Full-stack engineering experience, though the role is expected to lean more toward backend development. * JavaScript/TypeScript experience. * Experience building chatbot or user-facing AI applications. * Financial services or other large-enterprise experience.
