| IT Project Manager | Sarasota & OrlandoOverviewA growing Property & Casualty insurance organization is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead large-scale technology initiatives across both software development and infrastructure. This individual will partner closely with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders to deliver complex projects that support the company’s modernization efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn projects throughout the full SDLC, from planning and requirements through deployment and post-launch supportManage multiple high-priority projects simultaneouslyDefine scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverablesPartner with business and technical stakeholders to drive successful outcomesLead project planning, status reporting, issue resolution, and change management activitiesEnsure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectivesSupport continuous improvement initiatives and project management best practicesProvide leadership, guidance, and coordination across cross-functional teamsIdeal Background6+ years of experience working with technology projects, including several years managing IT initiativesStrong experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum methodologiesExperience managing software development and enterprise application projectsExposure to cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, systems integrations, or large-scale technology transformationsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management toolsProperty & Casualty insurance experience preferredExperience with policy administration platforms, portals, or enterprise integrations is highly desirablePreferred QualificationsPMP certificationScrum certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)Familiarity with ITIL practicesExperience leading organizational change, risk management, and strategic initiativesPrior mentoring or leadership experience within project teamsWhat Makes This Role InterestingHigh visibility across both business and technology teamsOpportunity to drive enterprise-wide modernization initiativesOwnership of impactful software and infrastructure projectsAbility to influence project delivery practices and organizational processesGrowing team with strong executive engagement and strategic investment in technology |
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience working with technology projects, including several years managing IT initiatives
- Strong experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum methodologies
- Experience managing software development and enterprise application projects
- Exposure to cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, systems integrations, or large-scale technology transformations
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools
- Property & Casualty insurance experience preferred
- Experience with policy administration platforms, portals, or enterprise integrations is highly desirable, * PMP certification
- Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with ITIL practices
- Experience leading organizational change, risk management, and strategic initiatives
- Prior mentoring or leadership experience within project teams
