Lead Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Kforce’s client in Orlando, FL that is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer with deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and modern software engineering practices. This role will focus on designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered applications while leading end-to-end software development initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Generative AI technologies, scalable application development, and cloud-native architectures. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy production-ready software solutions leveraging AI and Machine Learning technologies Lead the development of Generative AI applications and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions Build and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data processing pipelines Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions Architect and implement cloud-native applications following modern software engineering best practices Develop and optimize machine learning models and AI workflows Establish and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes Mentor developers and provide technical leadership on software architecture and engineering standards Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutionsRequirements: Strong experience in Generative AI (GenAI), Machine Learning (ML), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Advanced proficiency in Python Experience building and deploying AI-enabled applications in production environments Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, and distributed systems Experience developing APIs, microservices, and backend applications Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Experience with databases, data modeling, and data ingestion pipelines Experience implementing and managing CI/CD processes Experience working with Docker and containerized environments Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Computer Vision solutions and frameworks Experience with TypeScript Familiarity with OpenAI/GPT models and AI application development Experience with modern frontend technologies and full-stack development Exposure to MLOps and AI model deployment best practices Technical Environment: Python OpenAI/GPT Models Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Machine Learning Frameworks Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) CI/CD Tools Docker/Containerization Databases Data Ingestion Pipelines TypeScript (Preferred) The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
