Data Center Technician

KCI is hiring experienced Data Center Technicians for a large data center construction project in the Maiden, NC area. You’ll be on a sizable install team handling the full structured cabling scope, from rack and stack through test and turnover. This isn’t an entry-level role. We’re looking for techs who know cabling installation and take pride in clean, organized work. Data center experience is a big plus, but strong commercial cabling techs are encouraged to apply. What You’ll Do

• Rack and stack cabinets, cable managers, and patch panels
• Pull and dress cable through overhead pathways and cable tray
• Neatly dress and route cable into racks while keeping bend radius and service loops correct
• Label cabling and keep documentation to project standards
• Patch in and terminate connections
• Test and certify cabling
• Work safely and productively as part of a large crew on an active construction site

• Hands-on structured cabling installation experience, beyond pulling cable
• Experience dressing, terminating, labeling, and testing cable
• Rack and stack experience
• Ability to read and follow drawings and labeling schemes
• Reliable transportation to the Maiden, NC area for 1st shift
• Able to complete general contractor safety training before starting on site
• Able to work on ladders, lift materials, and stand for long periods
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Your own basic hand tools and PPE (boots, hard hat, vest)

Nice to Have

• Data center experience (hyperscale or colocation)
• Fiber termination or testing experience
• Fluke DSX or OTDR experience
• OSHA 10/30 or lift certification
• Experience on large GC-run construction sites
