  • Optimise application performance, database queries and overall system reliability.
  • Take ownership of technical solutions, from understanding requirements and evaluating approaches through to implementation and deployment.
  • Work closely with our product, design and delivery teams to create intuitive, reliable user experiences.
  • Contribute to technical architecture, code reviews, testing and continuous improvement.
  • Make effective use of AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while maintaining high standards of security and code quality., * Nuxt.js and TypeScript.
  • AWS services, particularly containerised deployments using ECS or Fargate.
  • CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Integrating SOAP and XML-based services.
  • Web accessibility and responsive application design.
  • Experience developing SaaS platforms or applications serving large numbers of users.

Beyond your technical experience, we value curiosity, initiative and people who take pride in producing high-quality software.

Working at Sector Global

We’re a friendly, collaborative company with an entrepreneurial approach to business. We encourage people to contribute ideas, challenge assumptions and take responsibility for the work they deliver.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence product decisions, tackle interesting technical challenges and see your work used at major international events.

Requirements

We’re looking for an experienced developer with strong technical skills, an analytical approach to problem-solving and the confidence to make informed technical decisions., * At least 5 years’ commercial experience developing applications with PHP.

  • Strong production experience with Laravel.
  • Experience developing front-end applications using Vue.js.
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL, relational database design and query optimisation.
  • Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Sass.
  • Experience developing and integrating APIs, particularly RESTful services.
  • Experience with Git, code reviews and software testing.
  • Understanding of secure software development practices, including OWASP principles.
  • Experience with Docker and cloud-hosted applications.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, or a willingness to adopt them as part of your development workflow.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical colleagues., Applicants should live within approximately 90 minutes of Clevedon, or be willing to relocate, and be able to attend the office regularly.
