Job description

I’m working with a digital consultancy delivering secure digital transformation programmes across government and national security. They’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst who can bring together user needs, business priorities and technical delivery.

This would suit someone who enjoys getting into complex problems, building strong relationships with customers and working closely with delivery teams to turn requirements into practical digital solutions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working with stakeholders to understand business challenges and define the problems to solve.

  • Translating user needs into clear user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Modelling current and future business processes.
  • Supporting the Product Owner with backlog creation, refinement and prioritisation.
  • Helping the team agree scope and shape an achievable minimum viable product.
  • Supporting testing to ensure solutions meet business and user needs.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement throughout delivery.

Requirements

  • Strong Business Analysis experience within national security environments.

  • Active eDV clearance.
  • A good understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile approaches such as Scrum, Lean or Kanban.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build rapport, challenge constructively and manage expectations.
  • Experience working within cross-functional delivery teams.
  • An understanding of government transformation strategy and service standards.

Experience with data mapping and APIs would also be useful. You’ll be joining a friendly, collaborative consultancy where you can contribute to meaningful programmes and help shape how services are delivered.

The preferred location is Milton Keynes, three days a week onsite, although London can also be considered.
