Civil Engineer (MCF/ Data Centers)

As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are expanding our civil engineering capabilities and are looking for professionals who can support the technical design, coordination and implementation of civil works across all project phases. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, collaborate with authorities, utility providers and specialist stakeholders, and be closely involved in both design and on-site delivery.

What you do as a Civil Engineer (MCF/ Data Centers)

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our multidisciplinary data center design team in Frankfurt. In this role, you will contribute to the civil engineering design and coordination of complex data center and mission-critical projects across the full project lifecycle. You will support the development of civil engineering solutions relating to drainage, underground infrastructure, utilities, earthworks, grading, roads and site development. You will also contribute to permitting and authority approval processes, working with internal project teams, clients, authorities, utility providers and external consultants. The ideal candidate will have practical experience delivering civil engineering projects in Germany and a good understanding of local design standards, permitting requirements, underground infrastructure, stormwater management and site development. Data center experience is also desired but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Civil engineering design, assessment and site support across the project lifecycle from early test fitting stages through handover. This includes civil engineering systems below ground such as underground utilities and utility corridors, as well as above ground roads, pavements and site layouts.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver a coordinated civil engineering design. This includes working closely with architectural, structural, environmental, mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Collaborate and communicate with clients, authorities, utility providers, general contractors and external consultants. This may vary from contributing to meetings and workshops to answering RFIs and providing feedback on technical submittals.
• Contribute to the development of engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives within the civil engineering team, along with maintaining knowledge of current engineering practices, standards, regulations, and industry developments relevant to the role.
• Apply relevant German standards, regulations and authority requirements. This includes supporting the implementation of environmental, groundwater protection and AwSV-related requirements during the preparation of drainage, dewatering, infiltration and other water-related permit applications.
• Use Revit and AutoCAD Civil 3D as required to check, coordinate and maintain engineering drawings and design deliverables.
• Attend site at project locations to support the achievement of project objectives and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.

What you bring

You are an entrepreneurial, results-oriented professional with a proactive mindset. You combine technical expertise with strong problem-solving and communication skills, ensuring high-quality designs and effective collaboration with clients and teams. Besides the above, you possess the following:

• Bachelor or MSc Civil Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in Germany
• Experience in civil infrastructure, drainage, utilities, earthworks or site-development design.
• Experience in data centers, industrial facilities, logistics developments or other mission-critical projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of German standards, permitting requirements and authority approval processes as well as knowledge of drainage, dewatering and infiltration permitting.
• Proficiency in 3D calculation and design software. Experience with Revit and AutoCAD Civil 3D is desirable.
• Fluency in German and English, and willingness to travel - needed for smooth collaboration during construction projects and with clients based in other offices.
