Job description

The Senior Digital Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, simulation, testing, and integration of complex digital electronic modules and circuit card assemblies (CCAs).

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in digital circuit design, multilayer PCB development, electronic design automation tools, and hardware integration. This position requires an engineer capable of translating technical requirements into reliable hardware solutions while supporting development from initial architecture through laboratory validation and system integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, analyze, simulate, and integrate complex digital electronic circuits and multilayer circuit card assemblies.
  • Develop hardware architectures, block diagrams, schematics, and detailed electronic designs.
  • Perform requirements analysis and translate system-level requirements into electronic hardware solutions.
  • Select electronic components and conduct engineering trade studies to optimize performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Utilize electronic design and simulation tools for schematic capture, circuit analysis, and signal and power integrity evaluation.
  • Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to implement design constraints and optimize multilayer circuit card designs.
  • Develop digital hardware incorporating processors, FPGAs, memory devices, and high-speed communication interfaces.
  • Conduct laboratory checkout, hardware debugging, functional testing, and system integration using established test procedures and electronic test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot circuit-level and system-level hardware issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, systems, software, and manufacturing engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Support design reviews, technical documentation, verification activities, and hardware development milestones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electronic circuit development and design, including multi-assembly system or unit design.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and supporting complex, multilayer circuit card assemblies.
  • Proficiency with electronic design and simulation tools supporting schematic capture, PCB layout, and signal/power integrity analysis.
  • Experience developing hardware architectures, block diagrams, and detailed electronic schematics.
  • Experience with electronic component selection, engineering trade studies, and hardware design analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory hardware checkout, debugging, testing, and integration.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, technical documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment., * Experience designing digital electronics incorporating processors, FPGAs, memory, and high-speed digital interfaces.
  • Familiarity with PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART, and related communication protocols.
  • Experience using industry-standard schematic capture, PCB design, and electronic simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, timing analysis, and high-speed digital design practices.
  • Experience developing electronics for aerospace, defense, embedded systems, or other high-reliability applications.
  • Familiarity with hardware verification, environmental testing, and production transition activities.
  • Experience supporting electronic hardware throughout the complete engineering lifecycle, from concept development through integration and production.

Benefits & conditions

  • Competitive salary
  • Health insurance
