The Data Architect defines the enterprise data model, business data definitions, and reporting standards for Teledyne’s global analytics platform. You will work with business stakeholders, Data Engineering, and Analytics to develop a standardized enterprise data model across multiple ERP systems and business units, so reporting, analytics, AI, and planning all use the same definitions.

The right person understands how business processes turn into data and has designed data structures across multiple systems in a large, multi-business manufacturing company.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain enterprise data models for reporting, analytics, AI, and planning.

  • Define and maintain standard business data definitions, KPI calculations, business rules, and data standards across multiple ERPs and business units.

  • Lead the design work to combine data from SAP, Infor XA, IFS, Dynamics AX, OneStream, CRM, and acquired business systems and ERPs into one consistent structure.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into scalable data structures and business rules.

  • Develop source-to-target mapping specifications and transformation requirements for Data Engineering teams.

  • Define and document business rules required to standardize data across enterprise systems.

  • Review data structures, mappings, and transformed datasets prior to business validation and release.

  • Support data governance, data quality, master data management, and data stewardship initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Analytics teams to ensure semantic models and reports align with approved business definitions and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information systems, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • 8+ years

  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Infor XA, Dynamics AX, IFS or Oracle.

  • Experience in multinational manufacturing, aerospace, defense, electronics, or high-tech companies, including work with acquired businesses or ERP consolidation.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise reporting, KPI development, and analytical data structures.

  • Experience developing enterprise data models, business rules, and source-to-target mappings, and standardizing data across multiple systems.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Experience designing and implementing solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or other modern cloud-based data and analytics platforms preferred.
  • DAMA CDMP certification is a plus.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
