Systems Engineer I

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related discipline\n
• 1+ years’ experience in systems engineering or 5-6 years’ experience as a systems administrator in a multi-site environment\n
• Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment\n
• Ability to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner, including keeping management aware of potential issues.\n
• Proven working experience in managing and administrating virtual hosting environments, disk storage systems and Microsoft Client and Server environments\n
• Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems\n
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time\n
• Communicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environment\n
• Excellent written and oral communication skills\n

• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve computer issues including hardware, software applications, basic networking, printers, etc.\n
• Be single point of contact throughout the lifecycle of a ticket; including research and communication of status to users\n
• Working with IT Teams to resolve/escalate problems\n
• Provide basic and extended support for software, hardware, peripherals, and network access\n
• Perform updates and preventive maintenance on all System and Network components\n
• Research various problems to provide appropriate responses to end users, ability to perform basic and advanced troubleshooting and assist users through procedures\n
• Monitor Helpdesk queue (phone, voicemail, e-mail and ticketing system) for support requests\n
• Provide administration of accounts and passwords\n
• Contribute to the knowledgebase\n
• Enforce and ensure group wide server workplace hardware standards, and operating system and software standards defined by Corporate IT and according to best practices\n
• Evaluate and implement global IT infrastructure components\n
• Vendor and 3rd party management in respect to service delivery\n
• Ensure adequate level of GMP CFR Part 11 compliance as per organization guidelines\n
• Manage and execute small and midsize IT projects\n
• Ensure help desk quality standards and availability as per Global IT\n
• Ensure problem management and continuous optimization of IT infrastructure related services\n
• Continuous improvement of the existing infrastructure\n
• Ensure a positive safety culture is sustained\n
• Ensure safety and environmental policies are adhered to in order to protect the health and safety of employees, visitors, contractors, and the community\n
• Document and analyze information\n

• Flexibility with work shift - after hours support and on call schedule\n, n \nBase Hourly Range: \n \n \n \n

• Engineer I: $35.54 - $48.96\n
• Engineer II: $42.58 - $58.55\n
