Senior Software Engineer

The platform integrates with a leading cloud ERP system, but this is primarily a cloud-product engineering role, not an ERP extension-development role. You will work across the web application, APIs, data model, background processing, and ERP integration boundaries., In your first 90 days, you will be able to contribute meaningfully to an active Job Cost product area: understand the core domain model and accounting controls, deliver production-quality changes across the application stack, and work effectively with product and finance stakeholders. Over time, you will help make the platform’s Job Cost experience more accurate, understandable, scalable, and trustworthy for contractors managing complex financial operations.

• 5+ years of professional software-development experience building production web applications., * Ability to translate complex finance and operations requirements into clear, supportable product behavior. \n

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across UI, API, database, and integration boundaries. \n

• Demonstrated ownership: able to take an ambiguous workflow from discovery through implementation, testing, documentation, and production support. \n

• Experience using AI coding tools thoughtfully, with disciplined code review, testing, and validation practices. \n, * Experience building software for construction, specialty trades, field service, project accounting, or ERP products. \n

• Experience integrating with a cloud ERP platform. \n

• Familiarity with Azure services such as Service Bus, App Service, Container Apps, Key Vault, Redis, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, or Entra ID. \n

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture, tenant isolation, role-based authorization, and row-level data security. \n

• Experience with financial-document posting, ERP confirmation/read-back, idempotent retry behavior, or event/evidence-based reconciliation. \n

• Experience with ERP extension development is helpful, but it is not the primary focus of this role. \n

• Experience with AI-assisted workflow, agent, or retrieval-based product features.

• Design, build, test, and maintain Job Cost capabilities in the platform’s cloud application. \n

• Develop workflows for: \n

• job setup, cost codes, estimates, forecasts, and change orders \n

• committed, actual, and projected job costs \n

• job billing, customer retention, credits, and invoice lifecycle management \n

• accounting-period close, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, reversing entries, and final job close \n

• job profitability, cost status, auditability, and financial reporting \n

• Build intuitive React user experiences for project managers and finance users, while preserving the accounting rigor behind the workflows. \n

• Develop secure REST APIs and background processes using .NET, PostgreSQL, and Azure messaging. \n

• Implement and maintain provider-neutral ERP integration patterns, with one cloud ERP as the initial adapter. \n

• Work with ERP integration and webhook evidence to reconcile posted job-cost activity without treating the ERP as a second editing surface. \n

• Partner closely with product, QA, finance/accounting SMEs, and implementation teams to turn real contractor workflows into reliable software. \n

• Write and maintain automated tests, product specifications, in-app help, and technical documentation as part of delivery. \n

• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to accelerate research, implementation, testing, and documentation, while independently validating correctness, security, accounting behavior, and maintainability. \n
