Lead Application Engineer - Dynamics 365, .Net, Azure

Let Informed Recruitment help you to achieve your potential with an exciting opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer to provide technical leadership and hands on expertise for a large, respected and well-established public-sector organisation investing heavily in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Azure to modernise how technology supports its customers and employees.

The main purpose of the role is to play a key part in shaping the organisation’s business applications by defining engineering standards, influencing platform strategy, and leading the delivery of secure, scalable, and high performing solutions. You will work closely with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure technology solutions deliver real business value. Further day to day activities will include leading technical delivery; establishing engineering best practice; developing plugins, custom workflows, custom APIs and Power Platform solutions; designing and implementing integrations between Dynamics 365, Azure and enterprise applications; managing CI/CD pipelines and release management; ensuring security and governance across the Microsoft ecosystem; and mentoring and developing engineering capability within the team. Your work will directly influence how colleagues and customers interact with core business systems, enabling improved service delivery, greater efficiency, and enhanced customer outcomes.

• Significant experience delivering and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Pages.
• Extensive experience developing plugins, custom workflows, custom APIs, and Power Platform solutions.
• Strong C# and .NET development experience.
• Experience designing and implementing integrations between Dynamics 365, Azure, and enterprise applications.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release management practices.
• Proven experience leading technical delivery and mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of security, governance, and best practice within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Desirable

• Experience operating within Agile and DevOps delivery environments.
• Experience implementing Power Platform Components Framework (PCF) controls.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365, Power Platform or Azure.
