Job description
Our client makes precision-engineered industrial components and is part of a global organization. Their Houston operation is already live on Infor LN, so this isn’t an implementation project. They need an experienced LN professional to own the system day to day and make a working system work better.
In this role you’ll be the on-site Infor LN expert. Every department will rely on you, and you’ll work directly with the client’s corporate IT team and experienced key users at their European headquarters. You’ll have real ownership, people will see what you do, and you’ll get hands-on exposure to ERP, MES and Business Intelligence systems at once.
What You’ll Do
- Be the main on-site contact for Infor LN, helping users across operations, finance, planning, warehouse and sales
- Troubleshoot functional issues and make configuration and system changes yourself
- Manage the IT ticket queue and solve problems locally before they need escalating
- Work out what the business needs and turn it into practical system improvements
- Test fixes, changes and new functionality before they go live
- Work with the corporate IT/ERP team on larger developments and enhancements
- Lead user training and process standardization across Infor LN, MES and BI/reporting tools
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on functional experience with Infor LN
- A solid understanding of ERP processes in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with functional configuration and troubleshooting in LN
- Working knowledge of several of these areas: Manufacturing, Planning, Warehousing, Distribution, Finance, Sales/Order Management, Contracts & Projects
- The ability to explain system issues clearly to both shop-floor users and technical IT staff
- A problem-solving, continuous-improvement mindset
Bonus Points
- SQL queries and database reporting
- Experience with MES systems
- Business Intelligence and reporting tools
- Experience working with international or centralized corporate IT teams
- A background in forging, machining or heavy industrial manufacturing
Education A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field is preferred. Equivalent hands-on Infor LN experience is just as valuable.
