Sr. IT Operations and Project Manager

The IT Operations & Project Manager serves as a hybrid business operations and project management leader responsible for driving operational efficiency, strategic planning, and successful execution of technology initiatives. This individual independently manages multiple projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle. The role acts as a central coordinator across cross-functional teams, facilitating collaboration, tracking progress, and removing obstacles to keep initiatives on schedule. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining project plans, status reporting, meeting documentation, and executive communications to provide visibility into project performance. The position also plays a key role in quarterly planning cycles by creating planning frameworks, guiding business leaders through roadmap development, and consolidating organizational priorities into a unified strategic plan. The manager identifies

and tracks cross-functional dependencies, helping ensure alignment between business objectives and operational execution. They support business operations through workflow management, reporting, resource tracking, and process improvement initiatives. The role partners with stakeholders to gather requirements, define workflows, document business needs, and support enhancements to internal tools and systems. Success requires strong analytical skills, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and a proactive approach to solving problems while influencing stakeholders without direct authority. The ideal candidate is a highly organized self-starter with exceptional communication, project coordination, and cross-functional collaboration skills, paired with the technical aptitude to quickly learn new systems and business processes., 8+ years of IT Project Management and/or Business Operations experience, supporting cross-functional technology and operational initiatives. Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including project planning, timeline management, risk tracking, status reporting, and stakeholder communication. Experience facilitating quarterly or annual planning processes, helping business leaders develop roadmaps, priorities, and strategic initiatives. Strong ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical teams, driving alignment and accountability without direct authority. Demonstrated success creating and maintaining project documentation, including project plans, meeting notes, action items, and executive status updates. Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, workflows, and process improvements for internal tools, systems, or operational programs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to both leadership and project teams. Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to identify dependencies, manage competing priorities, and solve complex business problems. Self-starter mentality with a proven ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and proactively drive initiatives to completion. Proficiency with common project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Asana, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Confluence, Microsoft 365, or similar platforms. Experience supporting IT organizations, PMOs, or technology transformation programs. Background in business operations, strategy, or organizational planning. Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies. Exposure to product operations, business analysis, or process optimization initiatives. PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or similar project management certification.
