Sr Full Stack Software Engineer

The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (U.S.) will serve as the senior U.S.-based full stack engineer for Project Trinity, driving the Web UI and API workstreams supporting the Poly 5.x platform. This individual will design, build, and review web and service-layer components, including REST and Telnet API capabilities, and help integrate them with the Android OS, SDK, and platform workstreams.

• 10 or more years of professional software engineering experience, with strong full stack development experience * Strong experience building modern web user interfaces using JavaScript / TypeScript and a modern framework such as React or Angular * Strong back-end development experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and services * Experience designing, documenting, and versioning APIs consumed by devices, applications, or partner teams * Experience integrating web front ends with back-end services and device or platform APIs * Experience with relational and/or NoSQL data stores * Experience writing unit and integration tests and contributing to automated test coverage * Experience with Git-based source control, pull-request reviews, and CI/CD pipelines * Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery teams * Experience serving as a technical lead or senior technical owner for web or API development * Experience performing code reviews, setting engineering standards, and mentoring other engineers * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and MCP servers * Ability to work U.S. business hours and coordinate with India-based engineers * Experience building web-based configuration, administration, or management interfaces for hardware devices * Experience with Telnet, SSH, or command-line device control interfaces in addition to REST APIs * Experience developing SDKs or developer-facing interfaces * Experience with Android, embedded, or device-platform teams * Experience with video conferencing or collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet * Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), containers, and infrastructure-as-code * Experience leading distributed engineering teams across the United States and India

Project Trinity brings the client’s legacy app to its target state on PolyOS 5.x, moving from the legacy PolyOS 4.x application on Android 11 to the new PolyOS 5.x application on Android 13, . This role requires a highly experienced engineer who can own technical direction for the full stack work, collaborate closely with engineering, and guide India-based full stack developers. This position is best suited for a senior hands-on engineer who can lead by example in code while setting technical direction for the full stack team. The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer will be expected to balance delivery, design quality, and collaboration with HP engineering in an environment where priorities may shift across SDK, Web UI, API, and DevOps work.
