L1 Data Center Technician

Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician for a top enterprise client in CT. This candidate will support day-to-day operations across multiple data center locations, handling rack and stack activities, server installations, copper and fiber cabling, PDU installations, infrastructure monitoring, and ticket management. The technician will also coordinate with network teams and third-party vendors, oversee maintenance activities, and escort vendors within secured data center environments. This is a great opportunity for someone with foundational data center experience who wants to expand their hands-on exposure to networking, critical infrastructure, and enterprise data center operations.

• 1+ year of relevant experience within hands-on Data Center Operations * Experience with rack and stack, server installation, and general data center hardware * Cabling experience with both copper/IP and fiber channel/fiber cabling * Familiarity with CRAC units and UPS systems * Ability to read/monitor facility or fiber protection boards, including temperature and alarm conditions * Experience creating and managing support tickets * Working understanding of servers and networking * Windows * ServiceNow (SNOW) ticketing experience * Sunbird experience * Power IQ experience for data center asset management, visualization, and heat mapping * CCNA + certification
