Systems Administrator Level 1 or 2 (Systems Engineer)

We currently hold sizable Government accounts in the San Francisco bay area including City and County of San Francisco, San Mateo County, and Santa Clara County. Roles/Responsibilities:

• Implement and support projects as required to meet TS goals and objectives.
• Implement, manage, maintain, and support the System Architecture solutions.
• Provide 24x7x365 support resolution for enterprise hardware and software as needed.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation.
• Provide reports and metrics for performance analysis and growth planning.
• Establish a Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule and execute planned activities.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to staff and contractors as needed.
• Work onsite every day (M-F).
• Perform related duties as directed

1. B.S in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. OR
2. High School Diploma with Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience working in an enterprise infrastructure environment in addition to the time required in the Minimum Qualifications.

3. 1-2 years or more experience with basic deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of:

5. Windows Server 2019 / 2022 OS

7. Windows Desktop OS

9. Active Directory

10. Understanding of physical Server hardware and storage concepts

11. Dell PowerEdge, HP Proliant

12. Compellent, Pure Storage, DataDomain ESXi

13. Familiarity with VMware Virtualization and Management Platforms

14. ESXi
15. vCenter

16. vSphere

17. Familiarity with basic deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of:

18. Microsoft Server Platforms: Basic Knowledge of Windows SQL Server

19. Microsoft Software Services

20. Understanding of Microsoft 365 User Management

21. Understanding of Defender (or comparable security tools)

22. Microsoft Management Services

23. Some familiarity with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Intune

24. Some familiarity with PowerShell and how it can be used

25. Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, exposure to Microsoft Azure Services (Azure AD, basic governance concepts)
26. Exchange - online or on prem

28. Ability to assist with data center tasks, including rack and stack of equipment
29. Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team environment
30. Ability to lift up to 30lbs as part of hardware installation duties

25. VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA).
26. VMware Certified Specialist vSAN 2024.
27. Pure Storage Certified Platform Architect Expert.
