Software Engineer

• Designs limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of end-user applications software running on local, networked, and Internet- based platforms.
• Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
• Executes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements.
• Participates as a member of project team of other software applications engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned applications portion or subsystem.
• Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

We are seeking an exceptional software engineer with expertise in C or C++ programming languages, strong Linux skills, and experience developing real-time multi-threaded applications on multi-core platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a solid Software Engineering background, technical knowledge of networking protocols, and excellent problem-solving skills to develop and deliver SD-WAN/SASE appliance software subsystems and features.

The ability to work with a large codebase is essential. Special preference will be given to candidates with strong backgrounds in Software Performance Engineering., * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required; master’s degree preferred

• 3+ years of development experience
• Excellent coding skills in C or C++
• Hands-on experience working in a Linux environment with strong understanding of Linux operating system functionality and capabilities
• Expertise developing real-time multi-threaded applications on multi-core platforms
• Strong Software Engineering background
• Good understanding of Routing and Switching Protocols (OSPF, BGP, VRRP etc)
• Solid technical knowledge of networking protocols and applications, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, GRE Tunneling, IP Security, Firewall etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills* Excellent problem-solving skills with a self-motivated approach to tackling complex technical issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge and Skills:

• Using software applications design tools and languages.
• Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
• Designing software applications running on multiple platform types.
• Software applications testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
• Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and negotiate options.

• United States of America: Annual Salary USD 108,500 - 218,500 in California The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.”
