  • Provide technical guidance, peer reviews, and operational documentation for database support teams.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience administering and tuning IBM Db2 LUW/UDB in enterprise environments.
  • Advanced SQL tuning, query-plan analysis, indexing, statistics, and workload-management experience.
  • Expertise in physical database design, table spaces, partitioning, buffer pools, locking, concurrency, and utilities.
  • Experience with monitoring, diagnostics, backup/recovery, high availability, and production incident resolution.
  • Ability to translate business workload characteristics into database configuration and optimization decisions.
  • Strong collaboration skills with application, infrastructure, architecture, and production-support teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting high-volume Java applications and distributed services.
  • IBM Data Studio, db2pd, MON_GET interfaces, or comparable Db2 monitoring and diagnostic tooling.
