Job description

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of secure, scalable, and highly available systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Python, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation, along with experience supporting Neo4j graph databases.

This position requires a hands-on engineer who can automate infrastructure processes, optimize cloud environments, support software deployments, and collaborate with development teams to deliver reliable, mission-critical solutions in high-security environments. What will you do?

  • Design, deploy, manage, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure within AWS environments.
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, ensuring system availability, reliability, performance, and security.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operational processes using Python and DevOps tools.
  • Optimize Kubernetes deployments and cloud resources to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application deployment, and system performance issues.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to support application integration, deployment, and ongoing operations.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar automation platforms.
  • Develop Python scripts and automation solutions to streamline system administration, deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows.
  • Improve software delivery processes through automated builds, testing, integration, and deployment.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve infrastructure efficiency and reliability.
  • Support containerized application deployments and lifecycle management within Kubernetes environments.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
  • Monitor system health, identify performance bottlenecks, and proactively resolve infrastructure and application issues.
  • Implement security best practices across AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, and application deployments.
  • Support operations in high-security environments while adhering to established security protocols and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and execute testing strategies to ensure system reliability, performance, and operational readiness.
  • Participate in technical reviews, troubleshooting sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Strong experience in DevOps engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation.
  • Hands-on experience managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters within AWS environments.
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and back-end application development.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or comparable tools.
  • Experience with Neo4j graph databases, including database development, administration, or performance optimization.
  • Strong understanding of containerization, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with system monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure security, system hardening, and secure deployment practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure, application, and deployment issues.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle practices, automated testing, and code reviews.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-security, mission-critical environments.
