Job description

  • Shape and evolve Müller’s enterprise architecture, ensuring that business processes, applications, SAP, data, integrations and technology platforms develop as one coherent landscape.
  • Define and maintain the enterprise target architecture and realistic transition roadmaps, translating business strategy and transformation priorities into clear architectural direction.
  • Provide functional leadership to the Process, Technical Domain, SAP, Data and Integration Architects, aligning decisions across domains and continuously strengthening the team’s capabilities.
  • Lead the Architecture Board and establish pragmatic principles, guardrails and reusable patterns, keeping architectural decisions, risks, dependencies and exceptions transparent.
  • Guide strategic transformation initiatives such as SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, the data platform and the integration platform, while reviewing major solution proposals early enough to avoid rework and fragmentation.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify Müller’s technology landscape by addressing duplication, technical debt and unnecessary complexity, while balancing enterprise-wide standards with justified business requirements.
  • Build strong partnerships with business leaders, Tech leadership, delivery teams and external partners, while strengthening sustainable architecture ownership and capabilities within Müller.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in enterprise, domain or solution architecture, including defining target architectures and transformation roadmaps.
  • Experience guiding large-scale business and technology transformations across multiple domains.
  • A strong understanding of enterprise applications, SAP, data platforms, integration architectures and technology platforms.
  • A proven ability to lead architecture decisions involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities and complex dependencies.
  • Experience establishing pragmatic architecture governance, principles and guardrails that enable delivery.
  • Experience working with implementation partners and consulting organisations while building sustainable internal ownership.
  • The ability to connect business strategy, processes, data, applications and technology, and to explain trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Business-fluent English; German is a plus.

Benefits & conditions

  • The opportunity to shape Müller’s integration architecture from the ground up, as part of a large transformation including SAP S/4HANA and a new integration platform, for one of Europe’s largest family-owned retailers.
  • Modern technologies, challenging integration topics and an environment where technological excellence is explicitly encouraged.
  • Flexible hybrid working policy with 26 vacation days
  • Meal tickets and private health insurance
  • Two locations - Bucharest or Ulm
  • Modern IT organisation with 230+ colleagues, flat hierarchies and room to shape your domain
  • Employee discount on products Müller sells
