Software & Controls Engineer

Develop, modify, test, and support software and control systems for automated manufacturing equipment. Program and troubleshoot PLC logic, operator interfaces, sensors, actuators, and equipment communications. Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions for equipment issues. Update wiring diagrams, I/O maps, signal-flow documentation, and as-built records. Support hardware upgrades, software migrations, equipment commissioning, and production release. Work with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.

1-2 years of experience with PLC programming, industrial automation, or control-system support. Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley RSLogix, GE Fanuc LogicMaster, or similar PLC platforms. Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, motor controls, or electromechanical equipment. Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, control drawings, and mechanical drawings. Experience developing, modifying, testing, or debugging software used to control automated equipment. Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, wiring diagrams, equipment configurations, and software revisions.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Studio 5000. LabVIEW programming experience. Industrial wiring and control-panel experience. Experience reverse engineering legacy control systems and mapping I/O. Experience with equipment upgrades, software migration, hardware obsolescence, or manufacturing data systems. Experience with relational databases or formal change-control processes.
