Job description

Join our dynamic team as an SDET (QA Automation) and lead the charge in defining and implementing cutting-edge quality and test automation strategies. With a focus on backend microservices and modern frontend architectures, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our software delivery is both fast and reliable., * Define, architect, and implement scalable, maintainable test automation strategies across enterprise-scale microservices and web platforms.

  • Actively review backend Java application source code and pull requests (PRs) alongside core developers to catch architecture-level flaws, logical errors, edge cases, and performance bottlenecks early in the development lifecycle.
  • Lead and coach QA engineers and developers on modern test automation best practices, clean code principles, and effective debugging techniques.
  • Architect and scale hybrid API automation frameworks using Core Java and Rest Assured.
  • Oversee contract testing, performance checks, and validation of complex RESTful services, gRPC, event-driven architectures (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and database integrity.
  • Architect, implement, and optimize modern web UI automation suites using Cypress or Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Integrate comprehensive test suites into enterprise CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Establish and track key quality metrics (e.g., code coverage, defect density, pass/fail trends, pipeline execution times) to drive continuous engineering improvements., * Be part of a forward-thinking team that values innovation and quality.
  • Opportunity to lead and mentor a talented group of QA engineers.
  • Engage in challenging projects that push the boundaries of technology.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Software Testing, Test Engineering, or Software Development, with a proven track record as an SDET Lead or Quality Architect.
  • Expertise in Core Java (Java 11/17+), OOP principles, design patterns (e.g., Page Object Model, Builder, Factory), and the ability to read, analyze, and debug complex Java application codebases.
  • Deep hands-on experience designing and scaling API test frameworks using Rest Assured, along with extensive knowledge of HTTP protocols, REST principles, JSON/XML, and authentication standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
  • Hands-on experience building, scaling, and maintaining UI test frameworks using Cypress or Playwright.
  • High proficiency with TestNG or JUnit, and build management systems (Maven or Gradle).
  • Strong experience integrating tests into DevOps pipelines and utilizing tools like Docker for containerized test environments.
  • Advanced SQL capabilities for complex data setup, teardown, and backend verification across relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases.
  • Extensive experience driving QA strategy within Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating closely with Product Managers and Solution Architects.
