You partner with Front Office, Business Managers, Operations, and Technology teams across the Markets business and other lines of business to document data flows, ensure data is fit-for-purpose, and resolve complex data challenges. Together, we drive innovation, strengthen controls, and deliver value to our clients and the firm. Job responsibilities

  • Drive root cause analysis and resolution of data quality issues through robust program governance, process mapping, and deep data analysis.
  • Lead discussions with technology teams to agree and implement technical solutions for data quality remediation.

  • Partner with Markets operations, technology, and product control teams to establish and document data quality controls across critical data flows.
  • Implement and champion Data Quality practices across the firm, supporting firmwide regulatory and strategic objectives.
  • Provide advisory services on high-profile data initiatives, leveraging project management and business analysis expertise.
  • Influence and guide stakeholders at all levels to drive adoption of data quality standards and best practices.
  • Represent the Chief Data Office in cross-functional forums, contributing to the development of data management strategies and frameworks.

Requirements

  • Experience in financial services, with a background in operations, finance, program management, data analytics, or business analysis.
  • Proven track record leading projects or business-as-usual initiatives focused on data quality, data lineage, control documentation, and metadata management.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and connect detailed analysis to broader business objectives.
  • Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets using Excel (pivots, formulas, charts) and other data tools.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders across business and technology.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills; adept at managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of business practices and products in a large financial institution, with a focus on Markets.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Expertise in data governance, data quality, data lineage, and metadata management concepts.
  • Experience in a Chief Data Office or Data Quality organization within an investment bank or large financial institution.
  • Proficiency in querying databases or data stores for advanced data analysis.
  • Skilled in producing executive-level PowerPoint presentations for senior audiences.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as BCBS 239 and industry best practices in data management.
