Senior Backend Engineer

Backend EngineerWe’re looking for a backend engineer who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys building robust systems end-to-end. You’ll work across data pipelines, APIs and infrastructure, ensuring our platform runs efficiently and scales cleanly as we grow.Your RoleDevelop and maintain backend features and APIs for our core platformImprove database performance, reliability and real-time data processingDebug, profile and optimise code to keep latency low and systems stableCollaborate with AI, frontend and product teams to integrate new capabilitiesContribute to architectural decisions and shape the evolution of our backend stackYou Are5-7 years’ experience building production-grade backends (Python is a must; additional experience in Go, C++, or Java is valuable)Solid in SQL and data modelling (PostgreSQL or similar)Experienced with REST APIs and cloud environments (AWS preferred)Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a problemStartup mindset - quick to ship, focused on quality, allergic to bureaucracyNice To HaveLinux debugging and performance tuningFamiliarity with orchestration (Kubernetes
