Job description
Lead L3 network support, advanced troubleshooting, firewall management, network security, and infrastructure optimization. Own critical incident resolution, support network architecture and migrations, and mentor junior engineers., * Handle L3 escalations involving OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, QoS, NAT, ACLs, and VPNs.
- Lead P1/P2 incidents, root cause analysis, and packet analysis using Wireshark, FortiAnalyzer, and Syslog.
- Manage Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, security policies, NAT, VPNs, UTM profiles, and HA.
- Review HLD/LLD designs for network upgrades, migrations, segmentation, and new sites.
- Optimize network performance, capacity, reliability, and security.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, and EEM for backups, compliance, and monitoring.
- Lead network changes, firewall migrations, routing redesigns, and upgrades, including RFCs and rollback plans.
- Coordinate with Cisco/Fortinet TAC, ISPs, and cross-functional teams.
- Maintain network documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and configuration standards.
- Mentor L1/L2 engineers and improve operational processes.
Requirements
- 10-12 years of networking experience, including 3-4 years in L3/senior escalation roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/XE, NX-OS, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, and EtherChannel.
- Expertise in Fortinet FortiGate/FortiOS and Meraki wireless.
- Experience with SD-WAN, VXLAN, Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), and Cisco ISE.
- Strong knowledge of network security, VPNs, QoS, segmentation, and high availability.
- Experience with NMS/SNMP monitoring, Syslog, and packet capture tools.
- Working knowledge of Python, Bash, and EEM automation.
- CCNA certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management, communication, and mentoring skills., * CCNP Enterprise certification.
- Fortinet NSE 4 or higher certification.
- Experience with Aruba Wireless, Extreme Networks, or Juniper.
- Knowledge of SIP, VoIP, and voice troubleshooting.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification (optional).
