Job description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking an AI Automation Engineer for a top insurance and financial-services client. This candidate will bring a strong foundation in production RPA and a demonstrated progression into Python, API integrations, and user-facing AI solutions. The ideal candidate is a pragmatic engineer who knows when to use deterministic automation, when an AI-enabled approach adds value, and how to connect the two reliably. This person will build and support resilient enterprise automations, develop practical LLM-enabled tools, and help guide the organization toward agentic workflows while maintaining strong standards for testing, monitoring, security, and production stability.

Day-to-Day * Build, enhance, and support production-grade RPA automations * Maintain live bots and design resilient exception-handling, retry, recovery, and orchestration processes * Develop integrations using Python, REST APIs, webhooks, SQL, PowerShell, or other appropriate technologies * Build practical LLM-enabled tools and workflows for real users * Validate AI output, implement retries and logging, and establish appropriate human oversight * Evaluate whether each use case requires RPA, AI, custom code, or a combination of approaches * Test automations after application changes, upgrades, and infrastructure migrations * Version, review, promote, monitor, and maintain automation packages throughout their lifecycle * Help manage the health of the existing automation estate, including upgrading, rebuilding, or retiring bots when necessary Operate within enterprise security, access, governance, and change-management standards

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building and supporting production RPA solutions, with UiPath strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ownership of live production bots, including exception handling, retry and recovery logic, orchestration, and multi-system integrations
  • Hands-on experience building LLM-based solutions that reached real users through production, an internal tool, or a published repository
  • Experience with Claude skills or plug-ins is a particularly strong indicator
  • Working proficiency with Python and REST APIs
  • Sound engineering practices involving version control, testing, logging, and monitoring
  • Experience delivering solutions in an enterprise environment with security, access-control, and change-management requirements Ability to choose the right technical approach, using deterministic automation for rule-based processes and AI only when judgment is genuinely required Plusses
  • Microsoft Power Platform experience, especially Power Automate and Power Apps Retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and vector-store experience
  • Model Context Protocol or agent-framework experience
  • LLM evaluation and monitoring experience
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry
  • Azure or GCP experience
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Jira, or Azure DevOps Exposure to multi-step agents and AI orchestration
