Healthcare Interoperability & EHR Integration Specialist

We are seeking an EHR Support Specialist to assist rural and underserved healthcare organizations in connecting to and utilizing state Health Information Exchange (HIE) services. This role focuses on clinical workflow integration, healthcare interoperability, and data quality improvement to ensure accurate, standards-aligned clinical data exchange.

• EHR Platforms: Hands-on experience with systems such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Allscripts/Veradigm, or NextGen (5+ years).
• Interoperability Standards: Proficiency in HL7 v2, C-CDA, CCD, FHIR, and USCDI (5+ years).
• Data Validation & Troubleshooting: Expertise in validating structured clinical data and resolving EHR integration issues (5+ years).
• Workflow Mapping: Ability to interpret clinical workflows and align them with data exchange requirements (3+ years).
• Technical Communication: Strong skills in explaining complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders (3+ years).
• Privacy & Security: Solid knowledge of HIPAA and health information compliance requirements (3+ years).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience supporting HIE onboarding and multi-vendor EHR environments.
• Technical proficiency with SQL, interface engines, or data mapping tools.
• Familiarity with state or federal digital health programs and initiatives.
• Background working with rural or underserved healthcare providers.
