AWS Cloud Platform Engineer

Insight Global is seeking an AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to support NYU Langone’s AWS Cloud Engineering team. This person will design, build, and manage secure, scalable AWS infrastructure across a complex healthcare environment. The engineer will focus on AWS landing zones, Control Tower, multi-account governance, infrastructure as code, cloud-native services, and platform automation. They will partner with infrastructure, security, application, and vendor teams to assess cloud needs, deploy solutions, monitor performance and usage, and ensure the AWS environment follows policies and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

• 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience designing and implementing AWS infrastructure * Strong experience building and managing AWS landing zones and AWS Control Tower in a multi-account environment * True AWS Cloud Engineer background focused on cloud platform architecture, infrastructure, governance, and AWS-native services * This cannot be a primarily DevOps-focused candidate whose AWS experience is limited to CI/CD pipelines or application deployments * Strong infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or a comparable tool * 4+ years of Kubernetes and container orchestration experience * Experience with cloud-native services, serverless computing, microservices, and containerized solutions * Strong understanding of the six pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework * Experience implementing AWS security, monitoring, compliance, resource allocation, and operational controls * Current AWS Professional-level certification or higher * Current CKA certification or equivalent Kubernetes certification * Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field Experience supporting healthcare or another highly regulated enterprise environment
