  • Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and cost (AWS Well-Architected Framework).
  • Lead technical design reviews, write design documents, and drive architectural decisions.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

  • Strong proficiency in Python and Node.js, and in Bash scripting.
  • Experience designing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL, DynamoDB).
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation and AWS CDK.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab (GitLab CI/CD), and with containers (Docker).
  • Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals: testing, design patterns, distributed systems, and security.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong AWS networking knowledge: VPC design, subnets, routing, Transit Gateway, DNS, and hybrid connectivity (VPN/Direct Connect).
  • Experience configuring firewalls (AWS Network Firewall, security groups, NACLs) and load balancers (ALB, NLB, GWLB).
  • Experience designing and implementing perimeter security (AWS WAF, Shield, ingress/egress inspection, DMZ patterns).
  • Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls and how to implement them in AWS.
  • Solid understanding of OpenID Connect (OIDC) and JSON Web Tokens (JWT), including token issuance, validation, signing, and securing APIs with identity providers (e.g., Amazon Cognito).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)., * AWS certifications: Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional, Developer - Associate, or DevOps Engineer - Professional.
