TS/SCI Senior System Engineer

The SSE shall plan, direct, and, if necessary, conduct regular, special, and integrated system test programs on virtualization equipment. The SSE shall prepare and conduct special reports and presentations that contain actionable information, which is pertinent to individual site operations. The SSE shall conduct integrated equipment system test. The SSE shall plan, prepare and conduct on the job training to junior as required. The SSE shall coordinate with other field engineers to the benefit of the unit. The SSE shall support the unit with other duties as assigned within the scope of work. The SSE should have a proven ability to protype new solutions to IT challenges and optimize existing systems in light of new technologies that come to market.

Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, cloud infrastructure, and on-prem/cloud environments (Azure, AWS, OpenStack). Advanced PowerShell/PowerScript scripting skills for automation, deployment, and systems administration. Experience with Apache NiFi, structured database data, and developing tools from engineering work products. Strong background in enterprise storage, virtualization, hypervisors, networking, and server infrastructure. Experience leading system/server development projects and producing technical requirements documentation. Install, configure, implement, and validate enterprise IT systems and infrastructure components. Develop and validate system performance metrics using COTS/GOTS solutions when applicable. Configure and support Windows Server, Roles & Features, Failover Clustering, RSAT, Windows Admin Center, and Azure Arc. Evaluate existing and emerging technologies and provide infrastructure recommendations. Design, deploy, and support production IT systems in complex enterprise environments. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
