Job description
We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the delivery and ongoing improvement of enterprise web applications. - Define application and component designs, supported by engineering specifications and detailed implementation documentation.
- Develop Python-based services and REST endpoints, create responsive React interfaces, and implement the SQL components needed to support application functionality.
- Build and maintain applications that use AWS services, with attention to performance, reliability, and the ability to accommodate increasing demand.
- Guide developers through implementation decisions, review code contributions, and promote consistent engineering standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Write and execute unit tests, assist with integration testing and user acceptance testing, and support application releases into production.
- Investigate defects and operational issues during testing and after release, implement fixes, and deliver enhancements to existing applications.
- Keep technical records, operational instructions, and project documentation current, and identify opportunities to improve application quality and maintainability.

- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational database platforms such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience using AWS, including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and API Gateway, to support application requirements.
- Familiarity with designing and integrating REST APIs, managing code through Git, and working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience delivering software within Agile teams and following established development and release practices.
- Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and clear communication with technical and business stakeholders.
- Must have financial industry experience.
Additional Experience That Would Be Valuable:
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
