Director of Digital

A large, purpose-driven organisation is seeking an experienced Director of Digital & Data to provide strategic leadership across technology, data and digital transformation during a key period of organisational change.

This is a highly influential leadership role, responsible for shaping the future direction of the organisation’s digital, data and technology capabilities, while addressing immediate priorities across platforms, governance, architecture and transformation delivery.

The Opportunity

The organisation has invested significantly in its technology and data landscape and is now looking for an experienced leader who can bring clarity, direction and architectural oversight across a complex environment.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will be responsible for defining the future-state vision while ensuring current technology, data and digital initiatives continue to move forward effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Digital & Data function through a period of transformation.
• Develop and execute a strategic technology and data roadmap.
• Define future-state enterprise, solution and data architecture.
• Provide leadership across digital, technology and business transformation programmes.
• Establish governance, standards and best practice across technology and data platforms.
• Drive improvements to data quality, governance and reporting capabilities.
• Oversee platform architecture across Microsoft technologies.
• Provide Technical Design Authority (TDA) leadership and decision-making.
• Ensure technology investments align with business objectives and future growth plans.
• Build confidence across technical and business teams through effective leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Required Experience

• Previous experience operating at Director, Head of Function or Programme Leadership level.
• Strong background in Digital, Data and Technology leadership.
• Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture expertise.
• Data Platform Strategy and Data Governance experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale business and technology transformation.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills.
• Experience defining technology roadmaps and target operating models.
