Back-End Engineer

Our client seeks a senior back-end engineer to build scalable data services in Java and modernize critical custody systems. The role requires expertise in Spring-based microservices, distributed cloud services, and distributed data platforms. You will collaborate with product, quality, and cross-functional teams to solve design and architectural challenges and leverage open-source technologies.

• 12+ years of software development experience. \n

• Proven commercial experience with Java. \n

• Strong knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Lombok, JUnit, and Swagger. \n

• Experience building microservices. \n

• Experience with distributed cloud services, preferably Azure. \n

• Experience with distributed data technologies such as Kafka, MQ, or Spark. \n

• Experience designing and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs. \n

• Working knowledge of relational and in-memory databases including Oracle and Redis. \n

• Familiarity with Angular (preferred). \n

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (preferred). \n

• Proficiency in an additional programming language such as Python, C++, or Groovy (preferred). \n

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Harness, Ansible, and Docker (preferred). \n

• Investment industry knowledge (preferred). \n

Rate: $90.00 to $85.00/hr. w2
