Job description

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to take significant ownership in building Monte Carlo’s cloud service, data pipelines and ML platform. The role will involve end-to-end development: from helping formulate requirements to full production implementation. You will be collaborating with a small team of seasoned engineers in a fast-moving startup environment.

Requirements

5+ years of experience delivering production-grade backend services

  • Mastery of Python and perhaps PySpark, familiarity with AWS technologies

  • Experience building and scaling distributed architectures, and perhaps data pipelines too

  • Sense of urgency, ownership mindset, and customer focus
