Job description

An exceptional opportunity for a senior Enterprise Security Architect to shape the future of Cybersecurity in London.

Threat surfaces expand faster than most security teams can staff for, and the businesses winning right now are the ones building defence into the architecture from day one, not bolting it on afterwards. This growing Cybersecurity startup has built its reputation on doing exactly that. With a flat structure and a genuine appetite for experimentation, it’s after an Enterprise Security Architect who wants to build something from close to the ground up, not maintain someone else’s decisions.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Designing and owning the enterprise security architecture across cloud, network and application layers

Translating business risk into concrete technical controls that engineering teams can actually build against

Leading threat modelling sessions for new products before they reach production, not after

Setting standards for identity, access management and data protection across the whole estate

Working directly with engineering, product and leadership to keep security decisions fast and unblocked

Assessing third-party vendors and integrations for security risk as the company scales its partnerships

Requirements

Proven experience as a security architect or in a comparable senior Cybersecurity role

Deep knowledge of cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure or GCP) and zero-trust design principles

A track record of translating complex risk into decisions non-technical stakeholders can act on

Comfort working without a rulebook. Startups move fast and priorities shift, so you’ll need to think on your feet

Strong communication skills. You’ll be presenting to engineers one hour and the board the next

Relevant certifications (CISSP, SABSA or similar) are a strong advantage

About the company

Equity in the business, because this Enterprise Security Architect role comes with a genuine stake in what you build

Hybrid working from London, with flexible hours built around how you actually work best

A dedicated learning and development budget, useful for keeping certifications current in a field that never sits still

A remote-friendly culture and a flat structure where your voice reaches leadership directly

Why pursue a career in Cybersecurity?

Demand for skilled security professionals in the UK shows no sign of slowing, and London remains one of the strongest markets in Europe for it. Cybersecurity rewards people who think clearly under pressure and take ownership, and an Enterprise Security Architect who can do both will rarely be short of options. Few fields offer this combination of technical depth, business impact and long-term career security.
