About the company

Murex is a global fintech leader in trading, risk management and processing solutions for capital markets.

Operating from our 19 offices, 3 400 Murexians from over 65 different nationalities ensure the development, implementation and support of our platform which is used by banks, asset managers, corporations and utilities, across the world.

Join Murex and work on the challenges of an industry at the forefront of innovation and thrive in a people-centric environment. You’ll be part of one global team where you can learn fast and stay true to yourself.

The Team:

TheListed Instrument Repositoryteam is responsible for the representation of all listed financial products (bonds, equities, futures, and more) within the Murex platform. We own how these instruments are modeled and handled across every layer: database persistence, in-memory structures, and XML/JSON serialization. We also manage the full lifecycle of these instruments, as well as the lifecycle of the positions booked on them.

The team is made up of 9 developers working together in an Agile setup, alongside a dedicated QA and Product Owner, mostly based in Paris.

Since we build a core framework used by the product teams, we work closely with many other development teams across Murex, who are the primary consumers of our APIs.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and implement new features in C++ within the listed instrument framework
  • Design clean, robust, maintainable, and easy-to-use APIs for the development teams relying on our framework
  • Analyze and optimize performance (memory footprint, CPU usage, SQL queries), a key concern given the volume of instruments and positions handled by our clients
  • Investigate and fix client issues, from root-cause analysis to delivery of the fix
  • Write unit and non-regression tests to guarantee the quality and stability of the module
  • Take part in code reviews and technical design discussions with the team and with partner teams, At Murex, we believe in providing equal opportunities for all employees and job applicants. Discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws is strictly prohibited.

This policy applies to all aspects of employment, including recruitment, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leave of absence, compensation, and training. Our commitment to fairness and inclusivity lies at the heart of everything we do.
