Backend team lead

We are seeking a Backend Team Lead to drive the design and implementation of scalable server-side applications and services. As a backend team lead, you will ensure system reliability, optimize performance, and integrate with external services and databases to support business needs.

This is a full-time position based in [Amsterdam/remote options if applicable].

Lead the backend development team to build and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services.

Oversee the optimization of system performance, ensuring stability and reliability.

Integrate with external services, databases, and APIs to support business processes.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and senior developers alike.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and project scopes.

6+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.

Strong experience with database management (SQL/NoSQL) and API design.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
