This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments primarily on AWS. You will be responsible for automating infrastructure deployment, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the reliability of our production systems. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep expertise in cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a critical function and make a significant impact within a forward-thinking organization in Barcelona.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of applications.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Automate operational tasks, monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems.
  • Ensure the security, availability, and performance of cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues efficiently.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for cloud architecture, security, and operations.
  • Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers and other technical team members.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, evaluating and recommending new tools and techniques.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Administration roles.
  • Proven expertise in designing, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and monitoring tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and mentor others.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Catalan or Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model from our Barcelona, Catalonia office.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive salary and potential for bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Generous paid time off and holidays.
