Software Engineer - IoT/Cloud/Edge Backend for the renewable energy industry

• Own the architecture of our centralized asset management platform.
• Optimize ingestion, storage and transfer of data from our control software, in the cloud and at the edge.
• Improve infrastructure, reliability and operations of our IoT fleet.
• Build products on top of plant data including performance analysis, real-time alerts and diagnostic systems.
• Collaborate closely with our controls team to turn plant data into useful insights.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with experience in taking systems from design through production ownership.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, regardless of your primary programming language.
• Hands-on experience with data engineering or IoT fleet operations.
• Experience making and being accountable for architecture decisions, ideally in a small team where you’re the primary or sole owner of a system.Track record of owning infrastructure and operations, not just application code.
• Problem solving, generalist mindset with ability to work across varying technologies. Comfortable operating with high autonomy
• Clear, proactive communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with TypeScript (used in our cloud) or Rust (used in our controller).
• Familiarity with edge deployments, containerization, or industrial environments.
