- Create and modify tools of different fidelity for range and performance prediction
- Create tools for system and vehicle level cost/performance and assess trade-offs
- Integrate control systems & plant models from other functional domains
- Platform-level optimization for vehicle attributes
- Run sensitivity analyses to understand the design space and tradeoffs
- Create vehicle-aligned component and system targets for function, cost, weight and more
- Work with fleet data and make model improvements with on-road vehicle usage data and homologation cycles
- Lead and contribute to design reviews, test plans, and requirements reviews to further optimize vehicle efficiency and performance cross functionally
- Enable effective communications with subsystems and other engineering teams to deliver optimal design solutions
- Support presentations of concepts and status to senior management and internally to Company personnel in an integration and subject matter expert role
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aerodynamics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 7+ years of experience of developing physics-based models and an understanding of how that relates to vehicle performance
