Senior GCP Architect Engineer

Kforce has a client in New York, NY that is seeking a Senior GCP Architect Engineer. Summary: The Senior GCP Architect Engineer will lead the enablement and adoption of new Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services while providing hands-on technical leadership across cloud architecture, engineering, and security initiatives. This role will balance service enablement with solution development, ensuring GCP environments meet strong security, compliance, access control, and governance standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide senior-level technical leadership, architecture reviews, and hands-on engineering support for complex GCP initiatives
• Design and implement GCP security frameworks, including organization policies, IAM, encryption, key management, and security telemetry
• Lead the architecture and technical delivery of new GCP services and solutions

• High School diploma/GED
• 5-7 years of experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and securing enterprise-scale solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience working within complex, highly regulated, or multi-tenant cloud environments
• Deep expertise with GCP security tools, including Cloud IAM, Firewall Rules, KMS, Organization Policies, Security Command Center, Secret Manager, and VPC Service Controls
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud connectivity, Shared VPC architecture, zero-trust network access, and regional network management

Preferred Qualifications:

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD security integration
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with experience supporting secure cloud adoption across business teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
