Full-stack (PHP) Developer

Okgreat is looking for an enthusiastic web developer who wants to create tailor-made digital experiences with us. You will participate in creating meaningful and impactful projects within a wide variety of sectors and topics together. We are looking for an eager and motivated backend developer with some front-end skills (to assist our front-end team in peaks). We’re not defined by our tools and techniques and we’re very open to new things if they do the trick efficiëntly. We don’t expect you to master all aspects we value, we understand every individual has a unique focus and strengths. We rather believe in “growing into” and “shaping” the perfect role or position.

You are comfortable in maintaining and developing quality web applications with performance, efficiency and scalability in mind.

• The ideal candidate will have understanding of PHP and preferably the Laravel framework or is eager to learn this.
• We use contemporary tools for content management such as Statamic CMS, Craft CMS, WordPress, … you don’t need to master all of these but you are not a one-trick pony and are not afraid of diving in and discover. It is also your job to help us decide which of these (or new tools) are suitable to implement in future new projects.
• Terminal, Github, Deployment … are incorporated in your workflow.
• Experience with Ploi.io, Sentry, Digital Ocean, Server management/setup is a big plus.
• You are proficient in HTML, CSS (SASS), Javascript/Typescript. You have experience with Tailwind, Bootstrap or similar and can convert designs (Figma) to fully functional pages. Notions of Vite JS, Alpine JS = nice.
• Above all, you are very flexible to deviate from the path and try other things and techniques.
• You work great in (a small but fantastic) team but are also comfortable and solution oriented to sometimes figure things out on your own.

• Knowledge or first experience with React, Next, Vue.js, Restful API …
• You have experience with e-commerce tools or projects (shopify, woocommerce, etc.).
• Interest in fun animations & page transitions that can take a design to the next level. You try to bring these to life with care and with performance and accessibility in mind. (Think: GSAP, Lenis, Swup, Barba js, Threejs, Webgl…).
• You have an affinity for good design.
