Java Engineer

We’re looking for a Java Engineer to join a large-scale Agile delivery programme supporting the development and enhancement of business-critical services.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of enterprise applications, helping deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions using modern Java technologies., * Develop and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.

• Design and develop Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, and scripts.
• Build and consume REST APIs and integrations.
• Support delivery of new features, service improvements, and defect resolution.
• Participate in technical design, estimation, code reviews, and testing activities.
• Investigate and resolve production issues and support live services.
• Collaborate with Developers, Architects, QA Engineers, and Business Analysts within Agile teams.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation where required.

• Strong commercial experience with Java.
• Experience developing applications using Spring Boot.
• Strong Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
• Good understanding of Oracle SQL.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience using Git version control.
• Experience writing automated tests using JUnit or similar frameworks.
• Good understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.

• Active SC Clearance.

• OpenAPI.
• GitLab.
• Jira and Confluence.
