Senior IT PMO Project Manager (no sponsorship provided)

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex business and technology initiatives from planning through implementation. This individual will be responsible for driving project execution, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring successful delivery of strategic business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented leader with experience navigating complex organizational environments while maintaining a strong focus on delivery, quality, and business outcomes., * Lead multiple concurrent projects from initiation through completion utilizing Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.

• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and overall delivery outcomes.
• Lead cross-functional teams consisting of business stakeholders, technical resources, vendors, consultants, and external partners.
• Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, governance structures, and resource strategies aligned with business goals.
• Facilitate project planning activities including requirements reviews, dependency management, scheduling, and resource coordination.
• Provide executive-level communications regarding project progress, risks, issues, decisions, and recommendations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and roadblocks to minimize impacts on scope, timelines, budgets, and quality.
• Drive accountability across teams and facilitate decision-making to achieve project objectives.
• Lead stakeholder communications, working sessions, governance meetings, and steering committee reviews.
• Support Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives where appropriate.
• Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies, governance standards, and reporting requirements.
• Manage change requests, implementation planning, deployment activities, and post-go-live support efforts.
• Oversee vendor and third-party partner relationships to ensure contractual and delivery obligations are met.
• Support organizational readiness and change management activities to drive successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
• Conduct post-project reviews and facilitate lessons-learned sessions.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability across project teams.

Project/Program Management, Project/Program Management, Contract Management, Project Execution, Risk Management, Project/Program Coordination, Cross-Functional, Team Lead/Manager, Agile Programming Methodologies, Waterfall Model of Software Development, * Bachelor’s degree required., * 7+ years of project management experience leading complex business and technology initiatives.

• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with varying levels of complexity and organizational impact.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery environments.
• Prior healthcare industry experience preferred but not required.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and implementation partners preferred.

Certifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
• Agile certifications such as CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive results without direct authority.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Experience managing stakeholder expectations and organizational change.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills within fast-paced environments.
