Data Management Lead

A global specialty-insurance organization is seeking a VP-level Data Management Lead to establish and scale its enterprise data-governance and management capabilities., Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer, this newly created leader will define the frameworks, standards, ownership models, and operating practices governing enterprise data. The role will lead master data management, metadata, lineage, stewardship, data quality, and data-as-a-product initiatives while connecting business priorities with modern data and analytics capabilities.

• At least 10 years of experience in data management, governance, strategy, or transformation \n

• At least five years of data leadership experience \n

• Proven experience within commercial P&C, specialty insurance, or a closely related insurance environment \n

• Demonstrated success building or maturing enterprise data-governance programs \n

• Deep experience with Master Data Management \n

• Strong knowledge of data stewardship, metadata management, and data lineage \n

• Experience establishing data-quality frameworks and measurable controls \n

• Experience defining data ownership, domains, policies, and standards \n

• Demonstrated ability to implement data-as-a-product practices \n

• Strong understanding of cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Databricks \n

• Enterprise data-warehouse and ETL/ELT knowledge \n

• SQL proficiency \n

• Experience with BI platforms such as Power BI, Cognos, or Qlik \n

• Executive-level communication and stakeholder-management capabilities \n

• Ability to lead transformation across business and technology organizations \n

• Ability to work within the required New York/New Jersey hybrid model
