Job description

Define end-to-end system architecture for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communication, including device management over APIs.

  • Configure and debug low-level serial communication interfaces (UART, USB, I2C) for stable module communication.
  • Define bridging modes for Wi-Fi chips and Ethernet interfaces to ensure seamless data routing.
  • Implement wireless protocols for Wi-Fi (802.11) to achieve robust connectivity and low-latency transmission.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers and embedded developers to ensure seamless integration.
  • Address wireless security risks by implementing encryption, authentication, and data protection across all connectivity layers.
  • Manage RF interference to maintain signal reliability in complex environments.
  • Provide technical guidance, conduct design reviews, and collaborate directly with regulatory teams.

Requirements

6+ years of experience in network access devices architecture, focusing on Wi-Fi technologies.

  • Strong proficiency in C++, Linux userspace, and Linux kernel-level development.
  • Deep expertise in Linux system architecture, bootloaders with secure boot (especially U-Boot), drivers, device tree handling, IPC, D-Bus, and software update mechanisms.
  • Proven experience handling and debugging serial communication interfaces and peripherals (UART, USB, I2C).
  • Expert knowledge of Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth protocols (Classic & BLE).
  • Solid background in wireless security protocols (WPA2, WPA3, TLS, ECC, AES), threat mitigation, Linux security hardening, and SELinux.
  • Practical experience with RF hardware, antennas, and wireless interference mitigation strategies.
  • Solid understanding of the TCP/IP networking stack and hands-on experience with embedded Linux build systems (Buildroot, Yocto).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
