Technical Test Lead | Functional Testing | Mainframe testing

This role leads quality validation for mainframe and legacy core-business platforms supporting high-volume enterprise transactions. The tester will assess online and batch processes, business rules, interfaces, REST/SOAP services, databases, data movement, reporting, and modernization releases. Prior delivery experience with automotive manufacturers, vehicle-services applications, or automotive technology programs is strongly preferred., Plan and execute functional, system-integration, regression, end-to-end, and business-acceptance testing for mainframe and legacy enterprise applications.

Validate online transactions, batch cycles, scheduled processing, REST/SOAP interfaces, database results, file exchanges, downstream integrations, and business-rule accuracy.

Perform SQL-based data checks, source-to-target comparisons, reconciliation, and verification of calculations, transformations, updates, and batch outputs.

Prepare test strategies, scenarios, scripts, traceability, quality measures, and release-readiness reports; manage defects through triage, root-cause review, retest, and closure.

Coordinate with business, development, architecture, operations, DevOps, and vendor teams across Agile and hybrid delivery models.

Functional Testing, Mainframe Computer, Quality Engineering, Testing, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Mainframe Computer, Banking Services, Application Programming Interface (API), Bug Tracking/Defect Management, SQL Databases, 10+ years in enterprise quality engineering, including hands-on testing of mainframe, legacy core-banking, ERP, or other transaction-intensive backend platforms.

Strong experience in mainframe transaction and batch validation, SQL/database testing, API and interface testing, data reconciliation, defect management, and test planning.

Working knowledge of Jira, ALM/Quality Center, Postman, SoapUI, SQL, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or comparable QA and CI/CD tools.

Experience supporting legacy modernization, cloud or API integration, data migration, and functional-equivalency validation is preferred.

Previous work with automotive OEMs, automotive-services organizations, vehicle diagnostics, ECU-related platforms, or automotive business applications is preferred.
