Job description

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Platform to provide technical leadership and build the core systems and infrastructure that support a rapidly growing, AI-powered enterprise software platform.

This is a highly hands-on individual contributor role with significant technical ownership. The successful candidate will define platform architecture, lead critical infrastructure initiatives, and establish the foundations required to scale engineering productivity, system reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

You will work closely with executive and engineering leadership to identify high-impact technical opportunities, make key architectural decisions, and drive initiatives from design through implementation and production deployment. You will also help establish platform engineering standards and build tools that enable engineering teams to develop, deploy, and operate services efficiently., * Define and drive the technical direction of the platform across infrastructure, reliability, developer experience, security, performance, and cost optimization.

  • Own the reliability, scalability, availability, and operational health of production systems.
  • Lead major platform engineering initiatives, from problem identification and architecture through hands-on development and production implementation.
  • Design, implement, and evolve Kubernetes infrastructure, cloud-native architectures, CI/CD pipelines, observability systems, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
  • Develop internal tooling, reusable abstractions, and automation to improve developer productivity and streamline software delivery.
  • Establish engineering standards and best practices for system reliability, service readiness, deployment processes, and operational ownership.
  • Improve monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, incident response, and observability practices.
  • Analyze infrastructure bottlenecks, performance limitations, and scalability risks, implementing proactive solutions to support business growth.
  • Make pragmatic architectural decisions that balance reliability, scalability, performance, security, and infrastructure costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to align platform investments with product and business priorities.
  • Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions, design reviews, mentorship, and hands-on collaboration.
  • Drive continuous improvement in platform engineering practices, operational processes, and production infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex platform initiatives while remaining actively involved in hands-on engineering and implementation.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, cloud-native architecture, and production infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software deployment practices.
  • Strong understanding of observability and reliability engineering, including metrics, logging, distributed tracing, alerting, and incident management.
  • Experience designing, scaling, and operating production infrastructure for rapidly growing products and engineering organizations.
  • Proven ability to identify high-impact infrastructure challenges, define technical strategy, and lead execution across multiple engineers.
  • Strong architectural judgment and experience making practical trade-offs involving reliability, scalability, performance, security, and cost.
  • Ability to influence engineering decisions, build consensus, and establish technical standards without relying on formal management authority.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical decision-making skills., * Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, including GPU provisioning, model deployment, or compute-intensive workloads.
  • Experience operating cloud or multi-cloud environments with demanding scalability, availability, and reliability requirements.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript or Python for internal tooling, automation, and operational workflows.
  • Experience building developer platforms, internal infrastructure tooling, or systems that improve engineering productivity.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments.
